Every month we receive dozens of pairs of jeans. Instead of landfill, they become bags, vests and pouches.

Sorting, washing, cutting, matching shades and sewing: one bag takes three pairs of jeans and about six hours of handwork.

She joined “Sewing for beginners” without ever having used a sewing machine. Three months later she takes orders for aprons and napkins.

“The best part is knowing I can earn on my own,” she says.
